🎅✨ It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like AI
The Glitter vs. the Glow
Christmas used to be about the warm glow of candles, handwritten cards, and carols sung off‑key but full of heart. Today, it’s LED lights that dance to Spotify, AI‑generated e‑cards, and playlists that never miss a beat.
Flashy AI is the mall Santa—loud, commercial, and everywhere.
Wholesome AI is the midnight mass or the quiet family dinner—subtle, meaningful, and lasting.
🎄 The Lesson of the Sock
I remember my school holidays—the joy of scrapbooks filled with festive homework, the excitement of annual functions, and the smell of freshly baked cookies. Back then, there was a discipline to the fun. We were taught that you had to pray daily; only then would Santa put the gift in the sock you kept under your pillow.
There was even a saying: “One day miss shall make your bliss a diss.”
Meaning, if you do not pray even for a day—if you miss the ritual of thanking God for the wonderful life He has given you, for the beautiful day, for the food on your plate, for the humbleness to admire the beauty of Mother Nature, and for treating every animal as a soulful being—then Santa won’t come. The "bliss" was not a right; it was a reflection of a soul-connection.
🎶 The New Prayer: Technical Discipline
Now, we have entered the AI age. Our "New Santa" is an algorithm, and our "New Prayers" are prompts. We might think the magic is now automated, but even in this high-tech era, the old lesson of the sock remains.
Even if we "miss a day to pray" in the traditional sense, we are now being disciplined by our prompts. There is a new kind of technical humbleness required to navigate this space. The caution we once reserved for our prayers must now be applied to the AI we trigger. We must balance the game: using the machine's speed to win back our time, but using our hearts to ensure that time is spent back in nature, with animals, and in gratitude.
🌟 Rolling Back to Traditions
In the end, I still want to roll back to the old traditions—the choirs echoing through the halls and the joy of waiting for the sock to be filled.
Yes, the other side of me prompts AI for ideas on how fast I can get my work done. But even as algorithms race ahead, my heart still lingers in those timeless moments. We must use AI to enhance our traditions, not erase them. Because while AI can speed up the tasks of today, it’s the discipline of gratitude that slows us down just enough to feel the essence of tomorrow.
Skills, technology, and the AI Age,
Prompts so decisive, yet feeling the phase.
Now that it’s the time of year,
Acquainted and blessed with all those dear.
In this Age of AI, where everything is optimus,
Here’s wishing everyone a traditionally Merry Christmas!🎅
