확신은 정보의 일관성과 그것을 처리하는 인지적 편의성에 의존하는 일종의 ‘느낌’입니다. 불확실성을 인정하는 것을 진지하게 받아들이는 것이 현명한 것이겠지만 (대부분의 경우 그렇지 못합니다.), 높은 확신을 한다는 것은 자신의 마음속에서 일관된 이야기를 구성했다는 것을 의미할 뿐, 반드시 그 이야기가 사실이라는 것을 뜻하지는 않습니다.
